22 years ago it was just me and a friend working at Leuta. I remember while planting the vineyards I was seeking contractors from all over to help out. Then, unfortunately, in 2013, my friend took another path and I took over winery operations by myself. Many years have passed since then and now I have a team of five employees. I do my best to oversee the operations at both the vineyard and the cellar but I would be completelty lost without the help of my team:
Viktor Kazak: vineyard manager. Victor joined the team in January 2010
Mirco Masserelli: cellar master. Mirco is a native Cortonese (DOC) who has been working in wineries since he was 20 years old. He started in the vineyards, harvesting and working the land, then worked his way up to operations in the cellar. He brings to Leuta over 14 years experience working with wine and is now our cellar master, running point on each part of the process, from harvest, to the aging in the barrel, to bottling. Mirco joined the team in August 2017.
Jennifer Criswell: wine club manager, hospitality & direct sales. An American who fell in love with Tuscany over 13 years ago, Jennifer now has citizenship in Italy and has made it her home. Her education was in law but it was her devotion to great wine that brought her to Leuta, bringing with her 8 years of experience from working at an important Montepulciano winery. An author of two memoirs on living in Tuscany and a certified sommelier Jennifer demonstrates her passion for the territory everyday in her work at Leuta. Jennifer joined the team in November 2017.
